The Schönegger Käse-Alm is located in Rottenbuch, Upper Bavaria. The cheese-manufacturer was founded as a family business in 1988, with a shop and a small display dairy. Today the company, led by Sepp Krönauer, employs about 150 people and handles pasture milk from more than 500 farmers. Basis for the manufacture of the many cheese specialties is fresh, tightly controlled genetically unmodified pasture milk, traditional recipes and processing without additives and preservatives.
In the fall of 2014, company chief and thoroughbred musician Sepp Krönauer fulfilled a long-cherished wish: with some of his employees, milk providers and business partners he founded his own company band, the “Schönegger Almmusikanten”. Those about 25 musicians share a common passion: their delight in traditional folk music.
Under the direction of Georg Miller the first concert of the Schönegger Almmusikanten took place on October 8, 2016. The great highlight was the premier of the “Heublumen-Polka” (Hayflower Polka) that Kurt Gäble composed for and dedicated to the Schönegger Almmusikanten.
Dedicated to Sepp Krönauer and his Schönegger Almmusikanten.
