The Trumpet Ensemble of the Trossingen University of Music

With trumpets and timpani, especially when played skilfully, it has always been possible to delight a musically interested audience. Long before his time at the Trossingen University of Music, Wolfgang Guggenberger has been a big fan of the tonal expression and technical possibilities of a trumpet ensemble. He knows about the various learning effects that result from the precise interaction within the framework of these special chamber music formats for students. Since 2005, he has continued the already existing tradition of Trossingen trumpets with commitment, motivation and great success.
The members of the ensemble are always students of the current trumpet class as well as guests from the percussion or trombone class. By playing in the ensemble, they gain valuable experience for their later professional musical life. They can train and refine their instrumental skills acquired in individual lessons as well as their ability to interpret, especially when working with the new pieces tailor-made for them. In the small concert tours that always follow the regular periods of rehearsal, the „Trossingen Trumpets“ have conquered a constantly growing audience.
