Nur den Saum deines Gewandes Ballade
Catholic singer-songwriter and music producer Albert Frey (*1964) influences Christian music in Germany since the early 1990’s. He wrote more than 120 compositions and published more than 50 CDs. The main message of his songs is the praise of God and his deeds. “Jesus, berühre mich” (Touch me, Jesus) is about the healing by Jesus’ touch and word. In modern context this healing refers to the “illness of our souls” in today’s society, such as pressure to perform, selfishness and lack of direction. Rocking sounds symbolise the modern way of praising God and the timelessness of Christian faith.
