On March 10, 1867, the traditional carnival revue took place in Vienna's Volksgarten, for which there were 25 new works by the Strauss brothers. This event was duly celebrated with the fast polka “Leichtes Blut” (Light Blood) op. 319, because Johann pops a champagne cork with the very first note.
