Pál Kinizsi was a general in the Kingdom of Hungary in the 15th century. Due to his extraordinary physical strength and his fighting style with two swords he gained a legendary reputation. He is also referred to as the Hungarian Hercules.
Julius Fucik dedicated his powerful concert march KINIZSI to this folk hero and proves once again how he can use his musical means to give an appropriate expression, strength and a sense of connectedness to a historical situation.
The new arrangement comes from the estate of Siegfried Rundel and was published with great editorial care as well as musical dedication for a large wind orchestra with full score, condensed score and a large set of parts.
