Ottorino Respighi, who was a renowned Italian late-romantic composer, wrote this piece in 1932. "Huntingtower Ballad" is his only original composition for wind band and dedicated to Edwin Franko Goldman and the American Bandmaster's Association. Respighi was inspired to compose this piece at a visit to Huntingtower Castle in Scotland. Eiji Suzuki arranged this great piece for contemporary wind bands.
