During a stay at the Weisse Rössl (White Horse) in 1896, the two authors Oskar Blementhal and Gustav Kadelburg wrote the romantic comedy about the waiter in love and the jaunty hostess. Ralph Benatzky komposed the sweeping music in 1930 and on November 8 of the same year, the musical comendy premiers in the Großes Schauspielhaus in Berlin, Since then, the white horse galopps around the globe, translated in many languages, and tells about the romantic side of Lake Wolfgang.
