Polka Martin Scharnagl studied music education and wind band conducting at the Innsbruck Conservatory (Mozarteum) and graduated with honors. Also during his studies he won several awards at the national "Prima la Musica" contest. He works as a teacher for drums and percussion and is leader of the internationally successful group VIERA BLECH. Additionally he is a very successful arranger and composer. His piece VON FREUND ZU FREUND is a lucky stike. A beautiful introduction, rhythmic parts and the catchy lyrical trio melody - all this are features of this polka that became famous all over Europe in the original VIERA BLECH version with 3 trumpets, tenor horn, bariton, tuba and drums. And now it is also available as edition for wind band - carefully arranged by Martin Scharnagl.
