Swing “Musik liegt in der Luft” (Music is in the air) was a popular German TV show that aired between 1991 and 1998. TV legend Dieter Thomas Heck hosted the great musical request show. Before each show thousands of balloons with postcards attached were released in different cities. Whoever found one of these postcards could wish for a song in the show. The theme melody “Musik liegt in der Luft” by Heinz Gietz opened the show, accompanied by a big ballet dance number. Stefan Schwalgin arranged the catchy theme for concert band, bringing the glamour of the fabulous TV show to your stage!
