Marsch / March / Marche Markus Götz composed “Adelhausener Impressionen” on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Musikverein Adelhausen, which he led as a conductor during its jubilee year in 2016. It was important for him to write a personal dedication to his musicians as a preface to this anniversary march:
125 years of Musikverein Adelhausen – that means thousands of rehearsals, performances and serenades.
125 years of Musikverein Adelhausen – that means hundreds of pieces that have been chosen, rehearsed and performed.
125 years of Musikverein Adelhausen – that means many fantastic moments, happiness and silver linings.
125 years of Musikverein Adelhausen – that also means less beautiful moments, bereavements and farewells.
125 years of Musikverein Adelhausen – that means major and minor, staccato and legato, a lot of allegro and sometimes largo.
125 years of Musikverein Adelhausen – that means mainly one thing: the belief that music not only lightens everything but also is an indispensable impulse for the life of all individuals and the community of a village.
As a conductor it is my great joy and honor to lead the Musikverein Adelhausen through its jubilee year. As a composer, I take the liberty of writing a concert march as a present for the anniversary. I wish a wonderful celebration to all of us, the musicians and of course the guests in Adelhausen!
