Jerry Nowak was a clarinet and saxophone player, singer, choir leader and orchestra conductor, composer and arranger, lecturer and author. He has created a stunning lifework. He composed and arranged more than 1,100 pieces for instrumental and vocal ensembles. He was demanded as lecturer and professor and imparted his knowledge to the youth. With his brother Henry he co-wrote the books "Conductiong the Music, not the Musicians" and "The Art of Expressive Playing", both regarded as milestones of musical literature.
