Kurt Gäble was commissioned to contribute a work for the 1st Euregio-Festival of Music 1999 and appropriately named it after this event.

The horn, which formerly was used to pass on signals and calls is used here as a symbol of communication between individual regions and their inhabitants. It employs a modern musical language with the visionary aim of a multi-cultured, yet a Europe in accord.
