What the "Beatles" were for the 1960s was ABBA for the 1970s: wherever the group appeared, it triggered real hysteria. With "Waterloo" they won the "Grand Prix" in 1974 - the stepping stone for a gigantic career. With 350 million records sold, ABBA became one of the most successful bands of all time. Even though the group split up more than 20 years ago, the Abba revival shows continue. Just as popular with fans: the ABBA musical "Mamma Mia". This musical with hits from ABBA has not only broken all sales records at the West End in London since 1999 - it was also extremely successful in New York, Toronto, Los Angeles and Melbourne. The Hamburg audience has been captivated since November 2002.
