The German trombone player, conductor and composer Walter Tuschla had a significant influence on the repertoire of numerous wind bands, especially in the 1970s and 80s. His works were creative and always practice-oriented. Tuschla gives an example of his great melodic feeling and special rhythmic refinement with a highlight of his work: the composition SIGNAL TO START, published in 1978. This concert march, which can be presented in a sonorous manner in both small and large ensembles, has gradually developed into a true classic and inspires musicians and audience alike. SIGNAL TO START - the name says it all: the energy, radiating from the first bar, runs through the entire work and gives the music an optimistic-sportive character.
With the present sheet music edition, RUNDEL Publications now presents a newly edited version. It features various additional parts, and also includes an expanded condensed score and a full score.
