Little is known of the life of Professor Armin Googleheimer. Despite his local success as a musician, postman and wine lover, his fame did not reach far beyond the borders of his home village of Unterbingen in Tyrol. He was born around 1812 and died in a sensational accident in 1867 that had something to do with a fondue. Clarinet Polka is probably his best known work. It shows an undeniable happiness and is easily accessible for young bands.
